This and That

• A reader has alerted me to the fact that there's an excellent blog available on Russian animation in English!  Titled "Animatsiya in English", it's great resource for students of Russian language and culture and for fans of Russian animation.  There's even a link to a video showing the making of the Japanese Cheburashka here.
• Do you live or spend time in Moscow with children?  Then check out Afisha's Deti v Moskve, a guide to what's available for children in Russia's capital city.
• Do you write teen fiction in Russian?  Then consider entering the Third International Sergei Mikhalkov Competition.  Here are the basics: "Задачи конкурса: возрождение лучших традиций русской и советской литературы для подростков, выявление и продвижение талантливых авторов, пишущих для читателей 12–17 лет на русском языке, как в Российской Федерации, так и за рубежом."  Manuscripts will be accepted through November 30, 2011.
